When I first introduced “The Meet Up” in our 2023 schedule, it was a fresh concept aimed at bringing back the grassroots vibe of our early tournaments. Now, as we continue to grow and adapt, it’s time to share how we’re evolving both “The Meet Up” and our traditional tournaments to better serve our community.
The Meet Up: Embracing Community and Competition
Affordable Entry – We’ve reinstated the low entry fee of $5 for The Meet Up, making it accessible to everyone. This fee includes food, entertainment, and a competitive environment, reminiscent of our early days.
Winner Stays On Format – This format allows the best players to showcase their skills continuously. If you’re dominating in NBA2K or Madden, you stay on until someone beats you.
Side Bets – Engage in side bets on top players during The Meet Up, adding an extra layer of excitement and opportunity to earn.
Tournaments: Raising the Stakes
Increased Cash Prizes – Our tournaments now offer higher payouts, with winners taking home substantial prizes (e.g., $1000 in July).
Bracket Format – The structured bracket format provides clarity on the path to victory, allowing players to strategize effectively.
Buy Back Option – We’ve introduced a buy-back feature, giving players a second chance to compete for the grand prize even after an initial loss.
These enhancements aim to balance accessibility with high-stakes competition, ensuring that both casual players and serious competitors find value in our events.
